Plant Cost Leader

Milliken Textiles is currently looking for a Plant Costing Leader

Function 

The Plant Costing Leader is responsible for maintaining accurate standard cost and budgets while managing actual spend as well as ensuring an effective internal control environment.

This individual must examine all of the finances related to the plant and provide insight to help solve business and manufacturing opportunities.

 
  

Responsibilities

  • Control period-end close and ensure accurate data and financial reporting.
  • Uphold standard practices in operations, budget revisions, product costing, management reporting, and forecasting by period.
  • Perform industrial engineering practices as in time studies, workflow analysis, work station analysis, Barco, SAP.
  • Champion an effective internal control environment while adhering with all governance, risk, and compliance guidelines including account reconciliations.
  • Drive profit, ROIC, and process improvement initiatives to help deliver cost reductions and financial performance
  • Control over major capital and expense spending in addition to asset management
  • Lead and certify all inventory and material cycle counts and clearings
  • Perform variance and spending analysis while providing insight to the plant manager and other manufacturing/business partners in cost meetings.
  • Oversight of the finance administrative position.
  • Back-up for management of master data.

Profile 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree (with focus on economics, finance, operations) or equivalent experience.
  • You have more than 3 years of experience in a similar role within a production environment. Experience in textiles or automotive is an asset.
  • You have strong knowledge of SAP and Barco (or similar monitoring systems); knowledge of Autocad is useful.
  • Experience in forecasting, budget follow-up and performing industrial engineering are crucial.
  • You have an analytical & problem-solving mindset and are used to work with deadlines. 
  • You have people management experience or potential.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. 
  • You work in a result driven, proactive way and are detail oriented.
